About Apex Health Hospital
Apex Health Hospital opened in Akobo, Ibadan, in 2023. We run a 50-bed hospital with two theatre suites and three consulting rooms, and we are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, with a doctor on site.
We admit around 3,000 patients a year across ten departments, from emergency and general outpatient care to maternity, surgery, laboratory and imaging.

NHIS accredited · Private HMO accredited. HMOs inspect a facility before they accredit it.
What accredited actually means
We are NHIS accredited and accredited by private health maintenance organisations. That is worth a sentence of explanation, because the word gets used loosely: an HMO inspects a facility before it accredits it, and keeps checking afterwards. It is an outside judgement about how a hospital is run, not something a hospital awards itself.
If you are covered, bring your card. If you are not sure whether we take your HMO, call and ask before you travel.
What we treat
Ten departments, all on one site. Emergency care runs around the clock; the rest run clinics, so call ahead if you are coming for a routine appointment.
Coming to see us
We are at House 1, Road 6, Unity Crescent, Akobo. Opposite RCCG, Foodco Bus Stop. Visiting hours are 10am to 6pm. Blood pressure checks are free, and you do not need to be a patient to have one.
